Celia Castillo-Blas obtained her Degree in Chemistry from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2013. After obtaining her master degree in Science and Tecnology Chemistry at the same university, she moved to the Institute of Materials Science of Madrid (CSIC) in 2015. In 2019 she completed her PhD in Chemistry supervised by Felipe Gándara and Ángeles Monge on the desing of metal-organic frameworks with metal-cation arrangement control in secondary building units. Currently, her postdoctoral reseach focuses on development of defective Zr-MOFs for the capture and degradation of toxic chemicals in water.
